You can delete your PicMyPlate account and everything stored for it at any time. There are two ways to do it: inside the app, or by email if you no longer have the app installed.
Option 1 — In the app (immediate)
- Open PicMyPlate.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account & data and confirm.
This takes effect straight away. Your account is removed along with everything stored against it.
Option 2 — By email (no app needed)
Send an email to support@picmyplate.app from the email address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my PicMyPlate account".
We use the sending address to confirm the request is really yours, so a request sent from a different address cannot be actioned. We will confirm once it is done, normally within 7 days and always within 30.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials.
- All meals, weights, water, goals and custom foods stored on our server.
- All progress photos stored in your private folder.
- Your family group membership.
- Your record of AI usage counts.
What is kept, and why
- Pooled nutrition corrections. If you corrected a food's nutrition values, that correction has been statistically combined with other people's to improve the shared estimate for that dish. The combined value carries no identifier and cannot be traced back to you, so it is not removed. Your own identifiable correction records are deleted.
- Backups. Routine backups may hold a copy for up to 30 days before being overwritten. They are not used for any other purpose.
- Records we are legally required to keep, such as transaction records for a paid subscription. Payments are handled by Google Play, not by us.
Data on your phone is separate. Deleting your account removes what is on our server. Anything held locally on your device is removed by uninstalling the app, or by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings.
Subscriptions are cancelled separately. Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription and does not issue a refund. Cancel it in the Play Store under Subscriptions first, or it will keep renewing.
This cannot be undone
Deletion is permanent. There is no recovery period and no way for us to restore the data afterwards. If you want a copy first, email the address above and ask for an export before requesting deletion.
