PicMyPlate

Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 July 2026

By installing or using PicMyPlate you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

PicMyPlate is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It estimates calories and nutrients to help you track what you eat. Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before making significant dietary changes — and especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, managing a medical condition such as diabetes or kidney disease, recovering from or living with an eating disorder, or under 18.

1. What the app does

PicMyPlate estimates the nutrition of food you photograph, scan or search, tracks what you log, and calculates daily calorie and macronutrient targets.

2. Accuracy — please read

Nutrition values come from published reference tables where a food is known, and from an AI estimate where it is not. Estimates from a photograph are approximate. A photograph cannot show portion weight, how much oil or butter was used, or what is underneath what you can see, and two servings of the same dish can differ substantially.

Treat the numbers as a guide for spotting trends, not as measurements. Check the label wherever precision matters to you, and never rely on this app for decisions that require accurate nutrition information — for example insulin dosing, allergen avoidance, or a medically prescribed diet.

Calorie and macro targets are calculated using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation and standard activity multipliers. These are population averages and may not suit you.

3. Allergens and dietary restrictions

The app cannot reliably identify allergens or trace ingredients from a photograph, and dietary labels such as "vegetarian" or "vegan" are estimates based on the dish it thinks it sees. Never use PicMyPlate to decide whether a food is safe for an allergy or an intolerance.

4. Your account

5. Subscriptions and payment

6. Availability and changes

The app depends on third-party services for AI recognition, sync and billing, which may change, break or become unavailable. Features may be added, changed or removed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

7. Your content

What you log and photograph remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the app: to store your data so you can sync it, and to transmit a photo you choose to scan to an AI provider so it can be identified. We do not claim ownership and do not use your content for advertising.

8. Disclaimer and liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of nutrition information.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data, or for health outcomes arising from reliance on the app's estimates. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time — see the account deletion page. We may suspend an account that abuses the service, attempts to bypass limits, or breaches these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
